Martha Stewart, the doyenne of lifestyle empires, knows that she has some celebrity competition in the industry (shots have been fired in the past). Reese Witherspoon, Blake Lively, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Jessica Alba are all trying to make their own mark in the field, and Stewart's got her eye on them. In an interview with Us Weekly, Stewart gave her carefully considered thoughts on everyone's progress:
On Blake Lively's site, Preserve: "I think Blake has done a good job with her site. It's an interesting site—kind of an interesting product on it."
On Gwyneth Paltrow's site, Goop: "Gwyneth is developing her site. I looked at some of her product the other day, I thought it was interesting."
On Reese Witherspoon's site, Draper James: "I don't know Reese, I've never met her, but I'm sure she'll do a good job."
On Jessica Alba's business, The Honest Company: "She's done a good job, and I think she means very well especially in terms of children's products."
