For the first time ever, Forbes culled together a list of the 50 richest self-made women in America, from Yahoo's Marissa Mayer to Judge Judy. In that list, seven came from the fashion industry, including Tory Burch, Vera Wang, Donna Karan, Diane Von Furstenberg, Sara Blakely (founder of Spanx), Doris Fisher (co-founder of Gap), and Jin Sook Chang (co-founder of Forever 21).
Doris Fisher was listed in third place on the list, with a net worth of $3.1 billion. Behind her, Jin Sook Chang ranked #4 with a net worth of $3.05 billion. Sara Blakely and Tory Burch tied for #17, both clocking in with net worths of $1 billion. Donna Karan and Diane von Furstenberg also tied for the #31 spot with net worths of $450 million each. Vera Wang rounded out the list at #34 with a net worth of $400 million.
