When C. Wonder abruptly shut down in January, nobody was given advance warning of the closures. Not surprisingly, former employees are now taking issue with that in a class action lawsuit against the retailer. According to Law360, a new lawsuit filed in New Jersey bankruptcy court claims that C. Wonder failed to warn employees at least 60 days in advance that they were going to lose their jobs.
C. Wonder officially filed for bankruptcy on January 22nd, just two weeks after the retailer confirmed that it was shutting down.
