Nordstrom wants to make their "buy online, pick up in store" process even easier. Puget Sound Business Journal reports that the department store is testing out a curbside delivery system at select Nordstrom stores across the country, including the flagship Seattle store.
Here's how it works at the select test locations: buy something online, text or call the store when you're getting close, and a Nordstrom associate will run your items out to your car when you arrive. RetailDive reports that 20 stores are trying this new delivery option, and eventually, the retailer may integrate curbside pickup into its Nordstrom app. The goal is to make shopping more convenient. Nordstrom didn't go as far as Sears, which employs a similar program but forces employees to race against the clock to deliver customers' orders within five minutes.
