Overeager guests headed to a Fondazione Prada cocktail party in Venice yesterday ended up in the Grand Canal instead. A Prada spokesperson confirmed to WWD that a dozen guests at the event plunged into the water after the jetty they were standing on detached.
The Prada spokesperson said guests had been repeatedly warned not to overcrowd the jetty. Luckily, no one was hurt. If you want to pinpoint the exact moment that the bridge collapses, La Nuova di Venezia e Mestre published a 43-photo slideshow of the debacle.
