Anna Wintour did her homework alright. The Vogue EIC went through various Met Gala looks on Late Night With Seth Meyers, inserting her two cents and a history lesson. For the most part, Wintour feels that celebrities did a fine job, considering the fact that she received plenty of "frantic phone calls" asking her to explain China White Tie, which, by the way, she totally made up. She skillfully segues around the fact that George Clooney didn't exactly have a splash of China in his outfit by noting, "First of all he has Amal on his arm and he's George Clooney, he doesn't have to wear anything." Note to self: Get on Anna's good side.
