Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

The Fashion Spot has let go of two members of its five-person editorial staff, Fashionista reports. The site's editorial director, Amina Akhtar, and social media editor, Meg Clark, have been laid off due to TotallyHer Media's acquisition of TotalBeauty.com. (TotallyHer Media owns The Fashion Spot.)

"Amina Akhtar and Meg Clark were laid off as a direct result of TotallyHer's acquisition of TotalBeauty.com," a spokesperson for Evolve Media (TotallyHer's owner) told Fashionista. "This was a planned part of our acquisition strategy, as there was redundancy between the two teams."

TotalBeauty.com's founder and managing director, Emrah Kovacoglu, will now lead The Fashion Spot team.
