Ever since Kathy Griffin's short, disastrous turn as Joan Rivers's replacement on The Fashion Police, the company has been searching for someone to pull what's left of the team together. According to the New York Daily News, E! executives picked Joan Rivers's daughter, Melissa Rivers, to finally fill the spot.

"She is so happy, she is excited," an unnamed source told NYDN. "The idea actually came from her. The bosses like it. It'll be a tribute to her mom, and Melissa's the one who understands how it's done. She can pull it off." The show will start to air again on August 31, and Rivers has signed on for six episodes with plans to continue on if the show brings in high ratings. The rest of the cast will be staffed by a rotating roster of celebrities, the source said.
