Emily Schuman of Cupcakes and Cashmere has officially moved on from simple clothing collaborations; now, she's straight up designing her own clothing line. The 40+ pieces will be sold exclusively at Nordstrom and Shopbop starting July 6th, according to her post on the blog.
The inspiration for the first collection comes from three different cities: San Francisco ("preppy, polished"), Los Angeles ("edgy, urban"), and Malibu ("relaxed, trendy"). Although a formal lookbook hasn't been released yet, Schuman posted a few photos of what to expect from the line and it's pretty much the blog in clothing form—scalloped lace skirts, vegan leather jackets, and a collared floral print dress styled with a matching bubble necklace. Exact prices haven't been disclosed yet, but Schuman described the line as "affordable" and "focused on quality tailoring and materials."
