Laverne Cox has taken to tumblr to express her thoughts on a recent snafu: Towards the end of his Bravo show, Andy Cohen asked Cox and André Leon Talley about a feud between Kylie Jenner and Hunger Games star Amandla Stenberg regarding Jenner's Instagram of her with cornrows.
In her eloquent response, Cox wrote, "Many are taking me to task for not defending Amandla Stenberg." She admits that she had not previously seen Stenberg's video on cultural appropriation, and is very impressed with her work. The Orange Is the New Black actress echoes Stenberg's question, "What would America be like if we loved black people as much as we love black culture?," explaining her thoughts outside of the ten second television spot she was allotted.
