As tonight's VMAs Kanye West was awarded the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award which meant he was authorized to commandeer the stage for as long as he damn well pleased. Because what did you expect MTV...he launched into an epic and poignant 13-minute long speech which traced his career and personal views on awards shows like the one he was being awarded at, Beyonce, and our cultural obsession with brands like the one he currently creates expensive sneakers for. Finally, he ended with this: "I have decided in 2020 to run for President," which of course was another way of saying, let the memes begin.
