Rihanna signed on as creative director for Puma back in December, a job that's reportedly netting her a paycheck in the seven figure range. The pop mega star has appeared in ads this year for Puma, but today the sportswear brand announced the release of the very first item from the Puma By Rihanna Collection under Rihanna’s Fenty label. It's a $120 Puma Creeper sneaker and it's available right now online in black and white.
If it looks at all familiar to you, it could be because Rihanna's been wearing these shoes all throughout 2015. MTV Style tracked down five photos from the past nine months of Rihanna wearing the Puma Creepers in a variety of colorways from dusty pink to bright white.
As for the backstory behind the sneakers, Rihanna turned to LA-based menswear brand Mr. Completely for the design of the shoe. Mr. Completely's design team previously made custom creeper orders for Rihanna and select online retailers using Adidas and Nike shoes as well. For the ad, Rihanna appears with musician and record producer Travi$ Scott (fun fact: they're rumored to be an item).
The sneaker will also be available at select retailers internationally beginning on September 18th. Meanwhile, three colors of the Puma Creepers will be available online and in stores on September 25th. The sneakers will keep popping up in additional colors and materials in November through 2016.
