Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

No live broadcast is complete without a news crawl. While news shows update viewers about world events and important Twitter fights and sporting events give up-to-the minute stats about about other sporting events and notable arrests, award show red carpets find themselves with slightly less pressing matters to report.

Still the crawl must crawl on, so for weeks in advance of the Emmy's, hundreds of copywriters are secluded in a San Bernardino warehouse to prep beautifully inane "fun facts" about nominees and attendees. Sadly, due to the sixteen hour limit on red carpet coverage, not all of the items can be used. Here are some of this year's best unused tidbits:

  • Ricky Gervais is a fan of breakfast.
  • Lisa Kudrow can control bees with her mind.
  • Fashion Alert: Bob Odenkirk is stunning in Men's Warehouse.
  • Shonda Rimes is in talks with Disney to build a real Shondaland.
  • Sarah Silverman is two 14-year-old boys in a trench coat. "BoJack Horseman" based a character off of her. They are currently in litigation.
  • Cat Deeley is allergic to... dogs!
  • Mad Men was originally titled Ads! Ads! Ads!
  • Fashion Alert: Sofia Vergara looks drop dead gorgeous wearing an outfit from Spencer's Gifts.
  • The cast of Gotham are a bunch of real jerks.
  • Gina Rodriguez speaks 15 languages, none of which are Spanish.
  • Margo Martindale and Richard Jenkins had a tumultuous affair in 1985, ripping apart both of their families.
  • Fashion Alert: Kevin Spacey smells like mint.
  • Tony Hale knows what he did.
  • Claire Danes (Homeland) does most of her standing on her own two legs.
  • Mayim Bialik was inspired to go into neuroscience by her "Blossom" co-star Jenna Van Oy.
  • Anna Chulmsky starred in My Girl and My Girl 2, but not My Girl 3: Whoops, Lost Her.
  • Padma Lakshmi is on fire. Literally in flames. Someone help her!!!
  • Fashion Alert: Louis C.K. wearing pants.
  • According to "Tonight Show" host Jimmy Fallon, Questlove has the most delightful giggle.
  • Allison Janney owns 12 parrots. They are all named C.J. Cregg and none of them can talk.
  • Julia Louis-Dreyfus, who plays the President of the United States on "Veep," has never voted.
  • Fashion Alert: Carrie Brownstein put a bird on it.
  • Jesse Tyler Ferguson is made of candy. He is delicious.
  • Despite being together for ten years, Naomi Watts and Liev Schreiber ("Ray Donovan") have never met.
  • Everybody's hungry. So hungry.
  • "Modern Family" star Rico Rodriguez is 45.
  • LL Cool J stands for Ladies Love Cool James. Turning his famous Kangol cap around, as he has tonight, is a signal to his stockbroker to sell his controlling interest in the Kangol company.
  • Fashion Alert: Kiernan Shipka has shoulders.
  • Tracey Ellis Ross and Keegan Michael Key are fraternal twins who were separated at birth. Shh, they don't know.
  • Christina Hendricks breathes air.
  • Emma Roberts (Scream Queens) is so, so scary.
  • Juliana Marguiles, star of the The Good Wife, tells E! that she is, ironically, a terrible wife. But she's fun at parties!
