Khloé Kardashian gave into the patriarchy today and had her "tramp stamp" removed. The tattoo, now a mere memory in the archives of thousands of paparazzi photos, was a cross and angel wings below the word "Daddy." She intended to memorialize her late father Robert with it. Recall that the single best signifier of "daddy issues" in 2002 was the tramp stamp. This tramp stamp said "Daddy." Let's move on.
The youngest sister in the family has verbalized her dissatisfaction with the tatt for years. She told Ryan Seacrest on his KIIS-FM radio show in 2009, "On my lower back, I don't like the location... I got a trendy location. It's called a 'tramp stamp.'"
She documented today's procedure on Instagram with celebratory exclamation, "Bye Bye Tramp Stamp!!!," while she let out cries of pain and/or relief. You can really feel the bittersweet sentiment in the caption:
Well @SimonOurianMD1 and I had a fun morning. The end of an era.... Got this bad boy when I was 16.... Not so cute anymore. I should've listened to Kim when she told me "you don't put a bumper sticker on a Bentley." Bye-bye bumper sticker!!! Thank you Dr Ourian!!!! You are the best!
It's also pretty fascinating and bizarre to watch.
Only one question remains: Will Kris Jenner, Khloé's mother, get her matching tattooremoved? Or will the mommy/daughter tramp stamp live on as just a mommy tramp stamp?
