Crucial Update

Terry Richardson Finally Got to Kylie Jenner

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Controversial photographer Terry Richardson has descended upon the newly "legal" Kylie Jenner. The realty star posed for him for Galore Magazine, wearing designer bras, underwear, and even a full t-shirt, while the accompanying article is very preoccupied with her freshly attained legal status.

The feature's theme appears to be age and growing up. Kylie notes that, "For me, age is just a number," and reveals that she actually wants to stay seventeen forever. On the issue of being a minor versus adult, Kylie feels, "it just makes no sense that, even a month ago, people were complaining that I was too young to be doing certain things, and now people are just okay with it because I'm grown."

The youngest Kardasho-Jenner also touched on her venture into the beauty industry — a soon-to-launch eight-shade lip kit — admitting that she was hesitant to produce a large number of kits, fearing that nobody would want Kylie Jenner lips. Her mother Kris Jenner, ever the mommager, knew what her child's endorsement is worth:

Well, for my new lip kit, I just put in my order for how many of them I want produced from my manufacturer. I was struggling with the number to ask them to make because I was like, Do I want to make this much? No, because nobody is going to buy it. I didn’t want to order that much. But then my mom was like, "Kylie, people are going to want your lip kit." I guess sometimes that’s all I need to not get nervous.

Kris saves the day, and the money, again.
