The Hermès version of the Apple Watch came out back in October, but until now, it's only been available for purchase at select Apple stores, Hermès boutiques, and high-end department stores. But Apple's finally putting it for sale online on Hermès's and Apple's websites this Friday, Fashionista reports and The Verge confirms.
The Hermès Apple Watch starts at $1,100 and tops out at $1,500. Three different bands are available: the Double Tour wrap, a Cuff, and the Single Tour. The watch also comes with a custom Hermès watch face.
The success of Apple's Hermès collaboration is still a question mark. "Whether it has worked or not is still up in the air, as Apple has not released any sales numbers for the Apple Watch," The Verge's Micah Singleton writes.
Ever since the Apple Watch launched, Apple's been experimenting with a new, supposedly more upscale direction for its rollout strategy. Apple handpicked fashion boutiques to carry the Apple Watch on its launch date, and tried to implement appointments for Apple Watch shoppers, a policy it did away with in August.
