Anticipation for Kanye's Yeezy Season 3 could not possibly be higher. Most living humans with an Internet connection just dedicated a good chunk of their afternoon to reading the rapper's tweets and he had Twitter abuzz earlier after an event promising to be both a fashion show and album debut at Madison Square Garden evaporated from Ticketmaster.
Kim Kardashian could not have picked a better time to roll out an initial look at Kanye's upcoming collection, Yeezy Season 3. Unlike the tattered, oversized items of past seasons, Kardashian is seen sporting a sleek jumpsuit covered in Adidas branding.
While Kardashian's Wave-referencing caption doesn't tell us much, Kanye clears things up with a tweet that reads #YeezySeason3. While Kanye previewing pieces on his wife is nothing new, what's most surprising about the ensemble is all the Adidas logos seen on it.
Not only were Yeezy Seasons 1 and 2 completely absent of Adidas branding, but it was announced around the second collection that the German-based sportswear company would no longer be involved in the production of Kanye's collections. It was rumored that "a high-end Parisian house" would be taking over production, Highsnobiety reported at the time.
So, is Adidas involved again? Was Kanye unable to find a partner? Is the rapper simply shouting out the company that gave him his start? We've reached out to Adidas for comment.
