I knew the Acne Studios pop-up sale was coming, but like most designer “sales,” I assumed the prices would still be pretty well out of my range. But as a friend informed me via text this morning, there are some real steals here, namely the jeans, which are available in a bunch of styles starting around $55.
Launched this morning at 9 a.m., the flash sale will run for the next 40-some-odd hours and features hand-picked men’s and women’s favorites from the past few collections. If (like me) your eyes are drawn to the big-ticket items — like coats and leather, which can run up to $2,800 — the sale feels less than affordable.
But look past the leather dresses and avant-garde tops for highly wearable, relatively (I mean, for Acne) inexpensive things, like a funnel neck mohair sweater ($200) from autumn/winter 2015; a navy parka ($500) from autumn/winter 2014; and a cropped sweatshirt ($160) from spring/summer 2016.
Items are selling out fast, and the countdown at the top of the page really drives home the urgency. So if you like something, better buy it now — the sale only runs through Thursday.
