I have to admit, I was a little bummed when I got the email yesterday about Want Les Essentiels’ newly launched line of women’s footwear.
I’ve desperately wanted one of the brand’s perfect totes — with their simple design, extra-long handles, and minimalist gold embossed branding — for years. Every time I walk through Barneys I eye them, but so far the price tag has kept them out of my shopping cart. It’s not just the totes; I’m pretty impressed with several of the Canadian brand’s pieces, from the wallets to the men’s Chelsea boots.
All of which is to say, I knew I was going to like the shoes before I even saw them.
And I do! There are five styles (a sneaker, two versions of a derby, combat-style ankle boots, and high heel ankle boots) in a holiday-friendly color palette of deep red, black, white, taupe, and gold. And each one would vibe with most of my wardrobe.
I also knew they were going to be just above my price range. But if Santa is reading this, I’ll take the Menara High in burgundy, please!
