The mall that’s about five minutes away from my apartment recently got a Zara — finally! — and it’s gigantic. It’s also, oddly, always empty. No one in my neighborhood seems to care that we now have a Zara, except me. It’s along my route home, which is a little dangerous, but I’ve been doing my best to stop buying stuff I don’t need.

I did not need this faux leather pencil skirt, but I did buy it anyway. It’s a great alternative to a regular black knit skirt, and it surprisingly goes with a lot more than I expected (I’ve copied this look below with a similar sweater). It was only $39.90 because it’s not actual leather, but several of my coworkers were fooled into thinking it was the real thing.
