Coach’s recent overhaul has earned plenty of attention, with retail experts and fashion critics (including us) mulling the brand’s playful lineup of dinosaurs, including lead dino Rexy (a T-Rex, duh) along with pals Steggy the stegosaurus, Woolly the mammoth, and Trixy the triceratops.
“If Coach’s mascot was once the Bonnie Cashin-designed saddle bag,” the Business of Fashion noted last week, “it is now Rexy, the animated tyrannosaurus which began as a random tchotchke and is now so ingrained in the label’s iconography that it spawned its own capsule collection.”
Rexy? Steggy? Who exactly are we targeting here?
Two-year-olds! Blake Lively and Ryan Reynold’s adorable daughter James stole the show on Thursday when she wore a little Coach bomber jacket covered with dino and rocket patches at her daddy’s Walk of Fame star ceremony in Los Angeles.
The $200 jacket promptly sold out, according to People.
In case you were wondering what to get your niece for Christmas, anything Rexy seems like a pretty safe bet.
