Young Thug teased an upcoming song and video with fellow Atlanta native 21 Savage in an Instagram video yesterday. Typically, Thug can be found wearing items that are way out of non-rapper budgets — he specifically raps in the new song: “If your watch ain’t cost a hundred, it ain’t shit” — and comfort level. (We refer you to his magnificent Jeffrey cover as proof of this.)
So it was a surprise to see the rapper wearing a The Hundreds Souvenir Jacket that only costs $180.
Young Thug certainly had a number of high-priced souvenir jackets to choose from. Satin Japanese-inspired jackets embroidered with designs were everywhere this year — Saint Laurent’s version, a celebrity favorite, retailed for $2,690 when it was available. So even though my coworkers mocked me for calling $180 “cheap,” it’s rare that I’m able to afford something worn by the stylish rapper.
