Pendant Necklaces Are the Chokers of 2017

The choker necklace, coveted by every Jenner and Hadid, was all over the place in 2016, sure. But it got boring once it reached its peak — and started to morph into actual clothing — so we left chokers behind (along with Thrasher tees and Purpose Tour merch) for the new year. If you’ve yet to find your favorite necklace of 2017, it’s time to think bigger, better, and way more comfortable, and that would be the pendant necklace.

Essentially an ornament hanging on a chain, a pendant necklace couldn’t be more different from a choker, or easier to wear. This season, what’s out there goes far beyond any old charm. Plus, the style works day or night, looking just as good over a sweater at the office as it does set on a low-sweeping evening neckline.
