I have a stack of winter dresses in the back of my closet that I can't wear any other time of year. You know exactly the kind: black and red, dripping in sequins and sparkles, laced with ribbons or covered in velvet patterns. While perfect for chilly outings, they’re totally out of place anywhere other than your family holiday get-together.
This year, in an effort to not add to my gift-shopping bills, I decided to go less "confetti" and more "partridge in a pear tree" with a patterned dress that I could rebelliously wear again. Enter the gorgeous Millie Dress from Zoe Vine. The tea length-skirt and three-quarter sleeves are decidedly retro and unique, but make it easy to transition to winter with a pair of tights, low boots, and a faux fur wrap.
And while the hummingbird pattern is dramatic — but muted enough for winter partying — the dress is equally eye-catching in the spring, especially with that stunner of a low back. It's rare to find a dress that's both Secret Santa and summer birthday party, and oh — it's on sale right now, too.
