Hanging out with your ex's ex is nearly always some degree of awkward, but there is one failsafe way to overcome any uneasiness and bond with them for eternity: Watch said shared ex perform in a live, televised production of the musical Grease.
This was the strategy Taylor Swift and Gigi Hadid employed. Despite both having dated Joe Jonas for a spell (the requisite Jonas-associated Taylor Swift song is "Forever and Always"), the two came together to watch him do the hand jive in Grease Live last night.
Gigi Hadid documented it all on Snapchat, where she wrote, "We're also performing Grease Live in the living room," whilst singing along to "Hopelessly Devoted to You."

Jonas was only on the air for a short time to perform "Rock n' Roll Is Here to Stay" and "Hand Jive" (during which the sound cut out) alongside his band DNCE, but it was too late: the bond had already been cemented.
