Justin Bieber, he of little facial hair and many apologies, attended the Saint Laurent show in Los Angeles last night. Before participating in the fabulous meet-and-greet in the front row pit, which congealed into a high-profile free-for-all before the show started, Bieber communed with skateboarding, his first love.

Skateboarding for the cameras is a favorite pastime for the pop star. He kickflips at Rockefeller center! He carves and grinds at Venice Beach! More skateboarding terminology! But he's never quite looked like the quintessential scruffy skate kid on the cover of an underground zine as he did outside the show.

See how he flashes the international sign for "sup";

And then flashes the international sign for "I'm chill, you're chill, we're all chill";

And how he shoots the camera a salty look here;

And, finally, how he languidly rolls down a sidewalk here.

Bye, Bieber! See you on the kickflip side!
