Saint Laurent's fall 2016 men's show and part one of the women's show is a good argument for why Los Angeles should be home to more runways (part two of the women's show will be held in Paris later this fashion month, per usual). The celebrity contents of its front row was far more varied, more high-profile, and larger in volume than a typical New York show. Ellen Degeneres greeted old friend Justin Bieber, Justin Bieber chatted up Courtney Love, and Courtney Love posed for photos with Lady Gaga. What are we? At the Grammys? (We are not. Those are Monday.)
The brand's creative director, Hedi Slimane, moved his studio to LA in 2012, but rarely does the town play host to major shows. Anything that allows Joan Jett and Justin Bieber to look this awkward while sitting near each other is very welcome. More LA, please. Take a look at the gallery above to see public Hollywood networking at its best.
