While the world mourns the fact that only two members of One Direction will reportedly be in attendance, the 2016 Brit Awards will march on. As we speak, nominees both British and international are making their way down the red carpet. Mostly, though, it's an exercise in waiting for Rihanna to show up.
As the UK's version of the Grammys, the Brit Awards honor the top talent in the nation. Thanks to Adele, 1D, Ed Sheeran, Sam Smith, Ellie Goulding, however, the biggest names in British music also happen to be some of the biggest names in the rest of the world as well.
Which is not to say, of course, that plenty of American artists won't be in attendance. Rihanna, Justin Bieber, and The Weeknd are all performing, while Drake, Kendrick Lamar, Ariana Grande, Lana Del Rey, and Meghan Trainor are all up for awards in the International Performers categories.
Once the actual event begins at 3 p.m. EST, watch the worldwide live stream right here.
