The upcoming reunion of Friends has been touted as many things: a TV miracle, not even really a Friends reunion (Matthew Perry had a scheduling conflict), and "lovely," according to David Schwimmer. One thing everyone has neglected to point out, however, is that the reunion of Friends will look almost exactly like a reunion of Real Housewives.
In the trailer for the two-hour special honoring sitcom producer James Burrows, which debuted yesterday, NBC teases the event held January 24th. For the most part, it looks like a regular awards show, with fancy round dinner tables facing a stage. But what we didn't know was that said stage would be made up of giant couches, and that Andy Cohen would be hosting.
To make matters even more Bravo-y, the teaser includes Cohen asking five-sixths of the Friends cast, "Did you all sign contracts saying that you wouldn't sleep with each other?" If the TV gods are benevolent, the rest of the special will go down exactly like every Real Housewives reunion.
