There was never a question of whether or not Lady Gaga would shut down her performance of the national anthem at the Super Bowl, but what wasn't clear was what she would wear. A dress made out of Super Bowl snacks? Artsy football gear? As it turned out, she wore neither of those things, and instead cosplayed as a shiny, sparkly American flag.

Though the glowing red pantsuit, bright blue nails, and almost-white Dolly Parton blowout lent itself well to the "living, breathing flag" theme, the kicker were her platform stilettos, made of sparkling stars and stripes. Lady Gaga? More like Lady Liberty.
