One Pair of Kanye's Yeezy Boost Sold for $10,000 on eBay

What do you get when you combine hype, tunnel vision, and a massive pile of money that we presume was marked "Burn this?" A buyer on eBay who is willing to spend upwards of $10,000 on a pair of Kanye West's Yeezy Boosts. A pair of the rapper/designer's black Yeezy Boost 350s, which Adidas re-released on February 19th, just sold for $10,100, according to Footwear News.

The price of the sneakers climbed from just $225 to the final price in just three days after the first bid was placed on March 13th. The bidding reached $2,500 on March 13th and the eventual winner decided they weren't going to waste any time going back and forth and just put down the crushing $10,000.

When you can throw that kind of money at the problem, why bother even looking around? If the buyer had spent even a minute browsing eBay, they would have seen that even the other most expensive bid for black Yeezy Boosts tops out at roughly $5,000. The other lower listings hover between $200 and $300.

The spiked interest in the shoe may have been prompted by rumors that Adidas would release new Yeezy Boosts this month. However, Adidas shot those reports down earlier this week, around when these bids started coming in.
