Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Jacques Hyzagi, a writer (which we know because he told us a lot), spun up a sprawling takedown of Elle after the magazine ran his interview with Rei Kawakubo, Comme des Garçons' designer. Yesterday, the Observer published the diatribe under the most perfect headline, "Elle on Earth." If you haven't read it, do that. Be sure to forge past the first paragraph or two, no matter how impossible it may seem.

In the piece, Hyzagi attacks people, places, and lots and lots of publications, before all his fury converges on those responsible for editing his piece. His main complaint seems to boil down to "they edited it." And for those who dared to do that, he has crafted some very vivid and imaginative insults!

And now you can generate some vivid and imaginative insults of your own! These custom barbs are built using Hyzagi's own colorful language and skill for spraying abuse willy nilly!
