We've done it, people! Let's celebrate because fashion has finally manipulated the world into thinking fuzzy, comfortable slippers are legit shoes you can wear outside. You may be trudging into work, but your feet will still feel like you just got out of bed and are sipping on some hot cocoa. If you're looking to embrace this trend — and who are you to deny this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity — these are the brands doing it the best.
Any good fuzzy-slipper-shoe conversation starts with Gucci. Designer Alessandro Michele made a big splash when he threw slippers down the runway that were lined with kangaroo fur. And now think back to those Zoobooks you read in elementary school and recall that kangaroos' pouches are so cozy that their babies (joeys) hang out there for up to a year so these must be some pretty dang comfy slippers. And if they're good enough for A$AP Rocky, they're good enough for us.
Other brands trying to make the bedroom-to-boardroom transition include Tibi, Topshop, Maison Margiela, and Dolce and Gabbana, all of which already have options you can buy. Joining those brands this season are the likes of Miu Miu, Sonia Rykiel, Comme Des Garçons, and Undercover.
