Pat McGrath, who's previous gold-colored pigment and makeup kit sold out like it was actual gold, has announced the latest product that'll have you bolting awake in the middle of the night reciting your credit card digits. Titled "003," the makeup reflects the product name's stripped-down simplicity.
003 gives the wearers a clean and natural look. "There's an untouched quality to the skin, but also a purity and a refinement," McGrath says in a press release. As you can see in the picture above, it gives the skin an almost shiny quality, something we around these parts like to call THAT WET LOOK.
McGrath has made a habit of debuting her new products on the runway first. Gold 001 premiered during the spring 2016 shows and 003 first made its mark at this season's Valentino show. "Given the inspiration behind the Valentino show that was heavily influenced by the freedom of movement and dance, it simply felt like the ideal moment to debut 003," McGrath explains.
With these high-fashion credentials under its belt, there's almost no doubt 003 will be another best-seller. No release date has been officially announced. We've reached out to Pat McGrath to get a better idea of when the product will be up for purchase and will update this post as soon as we know more.
Update: Vogue has more details on McGrath's latest offering. The product's official name is Skin Fetish 003 and it comes with three different components and two different shades. The kit includes a a dual-ended stick with with a balm and illuminator, a powder, and a blending brush that's made in Japan. The powder comes in either Iridescent Pink 003 or Fine Gold 003. "It's just a fun new way to show women â and men â how to use shimmer," McGrath tells Vogue.
Skin Fetish 003 releases on April 26 at PatMcGrath.com and on May 10 at Sephora.com.
Update: Racked has an early access code (GETLIT) for shoppers to buy Skin Fetish 003 before noon (the early bird sale started at 11am). But good luck getting into the site, as it's slow to load due to massive traffic. Pat McGrath is aware of the problem:
