When news broke yesterday that Saint Laurent hired Cara Delevingne as its new face, many in the industry were left wondering, "Wait, didn't she quit modeling?" But last night, she explained the full story on Twitter, saying that she never actually quit in the first place, but took a break from the industry due to depression.
Last summer, rumors circulated that Cara had left her modeling agency, Storm Model Management, to focus on acting. This turned out to be true, leading many to believe that she was quitting modeling for good.
After yesterday's news, however, she decided to set the record straight:
