We still have a couple of hours until the MTV Movie Awards show airs tonight, but can we just take a minute to appreciate the irony that is the "go-to male celebrity look" on this year's red carpet? Everyone from Chris Pratt to Zac Efron wore the color blue (in all of its various shades) at the event last night — Pratt, looking super chiseled and contoured, in a navy leather jacket and Efron in a patchwork denim jacket that his girlfriend Sami Miro still managed to outshine simply by existing.
One can't help but wonder if there's some hidden message behind Jaden Smith's dark blue flannel or Andy Samberg's denim on denim shirt and jacket combo. Did Chris Hemsworth and Adam Devine make a pact to wear similar blue suit jackets? Are we reading way too much into this? Yeah, probably.
Lest we forget, this isn't the Oscars, so these guys can't opt for their usual monotonous black-tie attire. Instead, they've managed to hilariously re-appropriate the trend of similarity with a hue that's pretty damn flattering on just about anyone.
