Victoria Beckham’s Vogue China Editorial Faces Retouching Accusations

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Did Victoria Beckham suffer an epic thigh gap retouching fail in the pages of Vogue China? Beckham covers the magazine's May issue, and the designer posted a few shots from the editorial to her Instagram.

Fans immediately noticed something weird about Beckham's leg in the first photo she shared. "The first pic, looks like a block of her leg is missing," one commenter wrote.

Others defended Beckham and Vogue China, with comments like: "Am I the only one that thinks that it's the material from the clothing that she is wearing lol, get yourself together Internet!" Maybe it's like one of those optical illusions or a Magic Eye, because I'm trying so hard to see that but all I see is a slice missing from Beckham's thigh.
