Cara Delevingne Went Full Superhero to Promote ‘Suicide Squad’

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Never accuse Cara Delevingne of not going for it. You invite her to a Chanel show? She brings a dog (and a dog handler). You become friends? She immediately comes up with a nickname for the two of you. Someone invents a horrifying Leonardo DiCaprio face filter? Cara Delevingne uses that face filter and sings "Swing Low, Sweet Chariot," and it is damn horrifying.

So it's only natural that when Cara Delevingne is tasked with promoting her new superhero movie, she'll dress up like a superhero, dammit. At the Warner Bros showcase at CinemaCon in Las Vegas, the Suicide Squad star wore a bright green, shiny cape dress that looks sort of like what Robin Hood would look like as a female superhero in 2016:

Excuse me while I jot down in my 'genius ideas' notebook: "moody superhero movie but where Robin Hood is a woman."
