Considering how well Alexa Chung’s past fashion collaborations have performed — her team-ups with Madewell flew off shelves, while her button-up denim miniskirt for AG Jeans almost single-handedly started the button-up skirt trend — it’s no wonder that yet another brand would want to get in on the magic. And for her new collection with UK-based retailer Marks & Spencer, Chung combined her two greatest strengths: her sharp eye for vintage, and being British.
Her 31-piece Archive by Alexa collection, shoppable starting today (yes, even for us American folks!), is heavily inspired by — you guessed it — items from M&S’s archives. Think ruffled blouses with full sleeves, polka-dotted day dresses, and little lace-trimmed camisoles. For those who don’t enjoy dressing like they’re off to a tea party (but why wouldn’t you?!), there are more minimalist options, like an olive trench coat and the unfortunately-named (but very wearable!) Bertha Cardigan. And here’s the kicker: Almost everything is under $100, with the exception being the aforementioned trench.
