We thought chandelier earrings were a dead trend, buried alongside that one particular shade of chocolate brown that was everywhere in the 2000s but never seen again. But last night, Katy Perry brought them back in the form of earrings so chandelier-y that they could have a part-time job starring in The Phantom of the Opera.
Pairing said earrings with a skintight leather dress, Katy Perry was one of just many celebrities who convened in honor of the newly-created Parker Institute for Cancer Immunotherapy, thanks to a $250 million investment from tech entrepreneur Sean Parker, a.k.a. Justin Timberlake in The Social Network.
While Timberlake himself wasn't in attendance, plenty of other celebrities were, from Allison Williams to Bradley Cooper, Emilia Clarke, and a real-live princess (but not Kate, 'cuz she's in India). There was also Katy Perry's new dude, Orlando Bloom (though they still won't pose for a photo on the red carpet together) as well as veteran couple (and love incarnate) Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson.
Oddly enough, however, said princess (Beatrice) may have dressed the least princess-y of all, wearing a blazer and black knee-length dress. The award for most princess-y look unsurprisingly went to Allison Williams, who wore a gown heavy on both sparkles and tulle. Scroll through the gallery above to see every look on the red carpet, plus a bonus shot of Lady Gaga performing during the event.
