Michelle Obama and Kate Middleton have planned a very, very fancy double date. The official Kensington Palace Twitter account announced that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will host President Barack Obama and Michelle Obama for dinner (and dancing?) this Friday.
Prince Harry, who'll also attend the event, has rather unfortunately been relegated to the role of fifth wheel. The account also tweeted, "Their Royal Highnesses are very much looking forward to welcoming the President and First Lady to the Palace." It did not announce what Kate and Michelle will wear, so feel free to speculate wildly.
It's been a busy few weeks for the royals — this weekend, they returned from their week-long trip to India and Bhutan, during which Kate wore a parade of outfits, from a "hiking waistcoat" to highly affordable pieces from Topshop and Zara. Meanwhile, Michelle and Barack have been living it up during their final year in office, most recently partying with Beyoncé.
