Barneys Warehouse is moving on from its "all sales are final" legacy. The department store's discount outlet now accepts men’s and women’s clothing returns, for both Warehouse stores and online at BarneysWarehouse.com.
Great news if you're waffling about pulling the trigger on highly discounted but hard-to-pull-off designer merch, like a 75-percent-off Alexander Wang crepe trench jumpsuit.
And if you're surprised that Barneys Warehouse didn't have returns before, attracting new customers online is part of the reason Barneys is adding it now.
"We’re always looking for ways to improve the customer experience on Barneys Warehouse, whether that’s with free shipping, improved navigation and editorial, or now, returns on clothing," Barneys New York executive vice president of digital at Matthew Woolsey told Racked via email.
"Final sale has been a part of the Barneys Warehouse legacy dating back to its early days in Chelsea, but as the business has grown online we now see returns as an opportunity to improve experience and customer’s confidence to shop with us on Warehouse," he said.
Just as an FYI — all other Barneys Warehouse categories, including shoes, are still final sale.
