Next Wednesday — the final Wednesday before the Four Horsemen of Coachella (Calvin Harris, Ellie Goulding, both members of Jack Ü) ride into the desert — Alice + Olivia will be holding a "see-now, buy-now" runway show in Los Angeles. This is unsurprising. Slightly more interesting is the fact that it will feature an Alice + Olivia x Grateful Dead capsule collection, a weird pairing based on everything that is available on Alice + Olivia's website right now.
If you're unfamiliar with either or both of these parties, here are some people who attended "Fare Thee Well, A Tribute to the Grateful Dead" in Chicago last July.

Clearly, there is a cultural divide. Not that unexpected pairings can't also be great pairings! In popular culture, for instance, dogs and cats are understood to have an antagonistic relationship, and yet in Homeward Bound: The Incredible Journey, two dogs and one sassy cat band together to travel across America in search of the family they were separated from.
With that compelling precedent in mind, please enjoy our "Improbable Collaboration Generator," for more brand and bands that just might beautiful music — and by music, I mean money — together.
