Melissa McCarthy Is Joining the Gilmore Girls Revival After All

Exhale, everyone: The supporting cast member that ended up becoming way more famous than everyone else on the show is, in fact, joining the Gilmore Girls revival.

The highly-anticipated reboot coming to Netflix has been fraught with speculation about whether the star would be joining the cast for months, but TVLine reports that despite difficulties with scheduling, McCarthy has just agreed to reprise her role as Sookie.

She will announce the news on today's episode of Ellen, saying that she'd only confirmed her return to Stars Hollow "literally about an hour and a half ago."
