Cannes 2016 Red Carpet: Blake Lively, Kristen Stewart, and the Rest of the Best Looks

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

It's the fanciest film festival of the year — you know, the one with a "no heels, no entry" policy and regular diamond heists. The 2016 Cannes Film Festival has begun, and so far, the fashion matches the occasion.

First up, Blake Lively, Kristen Stewart, Jesse Eisenberg, and the rest of the stars of Woody Allen's new 1930s period piece, Café Society, stepped out for a photo call wearing summery brights and flowy fabrics, followed by Kirsten Dunst (who went slightly retro) and Vanessa Paradis for their Cannes jury photo op.

Later on in the fest, expect to see Ryan Gosling for The Nice Guys, Elle Fanning for The Neon Demon, George Clooney and Julia Roberts for Money Monster, Charlize Theron and Sean Penn for The Last Face, and Adam Driver for Paterson.

We'll be updating this gallery as the festival continues, but scroll through the photos above to see the best looks so far.
