One of our favorite summer must-haves to emerge this year is the crochet dress. We first spotted the trend during the spring 2016 runway shows, and it's not going anywhere—just last week, Chanel showed two crochet maxi dresses at its 2017 Resort show in Cuba.
The beach-friendly look has proven that it's more than just a cover-up. Rihanna danced the night away in one in her music video for "Work," and Naomi Campbell served up a major crochet look on the May cover of Vogue Brasil. Now we've even seen it on the red carpet, with Alessandra Ambrosia in Balmain at the Met Gala.
To incorporate the style into your own wardrobe, you've got plenty of options to shop in the gallery above. Topshop and Mango both have great versions at the lower end of the spectrum. For an evening-appropriate look, go for something with sleeves like the white Isabel Marant dress or the amazing Balmain maxi dress above for a splurge. And if you still feel most comfortable rocking the look on the beach, opt for something colorful like H&M's patchwork take.
