Blake Lively, who's in Cannes for the debut of Woody Allen's Café Society, made another appearance on the red carpet today. At the premiere of Slack Bay, she wore what may well be the actual dress from the 1950 animated Disney classic Cinderella. Or, at least, it's a 2016 version in which Vivienne Westwood is the fairy godmother, since she designed the dress. Woody Allen is a mouse. Even Blake's hair looks identical to the Disney princess's.
Blake, who famously does not employ a stylist, paired the dress with some equally shiny platform heels. The overall effect is that of a woman out to generate as much press for her movie as possible before turning back into a water nymph cupcake at midnight.
It's also not the first time that Blake has shown up as some blue-eyed, blond-headed fairy-tale princess. Here she is last Cannes as a Chanel mermaid in 2014:
