For whatever reason, it took the E! network until the year 2016 to give us a Mariah Carey reality show. Regardless, it's finally here, and at today's NBC Upfronts, we finally got a trailer.
Although no one has ever doubted that Mariah Carey — a woman who considers bridal lingerie and stilettos an acceptable pizza-making outfit and who threw a party in which every guest was required to dress up as her — is the optimal candidate for a reality show, the trailer for Mariah's World only confirms it.
Here is a quote from said trailer: "I'm wearing these glasses because we're in fluorescent lighting and I have a rule which states that I will not be seen in fluorescent lighting without sunglasses. I know it's very '90s." Amazing.
Another indication that this show will live up to expectations: she walked the Upfronts red carpet wearing an animal print, sequined minidress, fishnets, and these platform heels:

Of course, it was only a matter of time before this happened:

Later, she reportedly arrived onstage via fainting couch carried by two shirtless men, which is really the only way Mariah Carey should enter a stage, or any room, for that matter. Below, the full trailer.
In other E! TV show news, the network also released the trailer for the forthcoming scripted series The Arrangement. It's already drawing plenty of comparisons to the story of Tom Cruise, Kate Holmes, and Scientology leader David Miscavige, so you know it's going to be E!-level juicy. Watch it below.
