Taylor Swift’s Met Gala Louis Vuitton Dress Is Already Inspiring Memes

Typically, a star of Taylor Swift's magnitude would wait until the very end of the Met Gala red carpet to make her grand appearance. Consider notorious latecomers Rihanna and Beyoncé, whose arrivals generally signify the end of the Met Gala's welcome procession, like a pair of glorious red carpet cabooses.

But since she's this year's celebrity co-chair, Swift naturally showed up early to the party — in a short silver Louis Vuitton dress, dark lipstick, and knee-high gladiator heels that, well, aren't going over so well with the internet. The dress, in particular, has already garnered comparisons to both a fish and a Hershey's Kiss. Below, a few choice reactions from the Twitterverse:
