We're only hours out from the premiere of The Bachelorette season 12, starring JoJo Fletcher and some Chads in shirtsThere's a lot to be excited for, but JoJo's premiere outfit, a.k.a. her "first date" outfit, in action is one of the best parts of the premiere. Style! TV's prom! Fashion! A very low-cut, sparkly mermaid gown!

Line up the first episode looks over the past 12 seasons of The Bachelorette and it's clear the show has developed of a certain style for its leading ladies. Their clothes have become an integral part of the show, and the gowns are increasingly fancy (even the so-called "tomboy" has found a side hustle as a style blogger in her post-show years). The opening night looks have alternated between long, sparkly dresses and long, black dresses, but as the show itself has grown in prestige (and budget), ABC's wardrobe department has upped ante in terms of designer name recognition.

This should all suit JoJo, whose style is best described as "Texas beauty queen goes to Coachella," just fine. Track all the first date outfits below and see how JoJo stacks up.
